Los Angeles County Coalition of School Health Centers

Countywide convening for school health centers’ practitioners and partners.

History

The Los Angeles School Health Centers Coalition (L.A. Coalition) was formed in 2004 by the California School Health Centers Association’s Kellogg “community partner” that included Northeast Valley Health Corporation, Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Mission and Purpose

The L.A. Coalition’s mission is to ensure that school health centers are an integral part of the health care system in L.A. County. The coalition unites stakeholders for public policies that support school health centers by building partnerships, fostering networking, and sharing of resources, and serving as a channel of communication about school-based health care in Los Angeles County.
