How It Works
1. Pick a Daily Oral Health-Related Activity – Hum a song while you gargle mouthwash, wear a funny wig/hat while brushing your teeth, brush your teeth as a family, hand out floss/toothbrushes to strangers, or just dance while brushing. Get creative and choose an activity that works for you.
2. Post pictures and updates on your fundraising page. Send updates to Facebook or Twitter from your page too.
Participate
Children’s oral health has been on a decline since the beginning of the pandemic, especially among our most vulnerable populations. The L.A. Trust has made a commitment to battle the barriers of accessing oral health-care: lack of awareness; lack of dental insurance; and a shortage of oral health providers to treat low-income children in their communities. Please join us in this shared mission and Brush It Up.
Brush It Up! - Training Session
Mark your calendars for a Zoom training on setting up your fundraising page. Get fun ideas on how you can participate with friends and family.
Join The Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health in our mission to improve children's oral health!
Brush It Up is a peer-to-peer awareness and fund-raiser to be held through videos, challenges, and social media from February 20 – 23, 2024. Supporters of The L.A. Trust for Children's Health will reach out to their personal networks to raise awareness about the importance of oral health and invite children and adults alike to meet various challenges, such as dancing while they brush. Each day, engaging videos featuring The L.A. Trust’s Student Advisory Board members will include surprising facts and fun challenges.
We are inviting you to participate in our event by creating your own fundraising page. You can invite your friends, family, and colleagues to support you by donating to The L.A. Trust.
